Teens Earn Praise for Feeding Hungry Kid Who Only Had Php4, Buying Him Clothes and Ball

A kid who only had Php4 to pay for the chicken meal that other kids were enjoying at the sidewalk received help from some teens who took pity on his plight, seeing themselves in him. The teens helped him have a meal – and even pooled their money to buy him some clothes and a ball! Isn’t that sweet?

Thirdy Echenique Dela Torre III shared photos of the kid on his Facebook account, writing that they saw the boy pick up a stick from the vendor because he was hungry but only paid Php4, his only money. While the vendor also took pity on the kid and let him have the food for that amount, the teens thought it would be a good idea to buy him a full meal.

They returned his Php4 and bought him a full meal, the same as what they were enjoying from the street vendor they had jokingly dubbed as KFC, meaning ‘Kanto Fried Chicken’.

After they all had their fill of the food from that sidewalk vendor, the teens decided to bring the kid to the nearest store where they bought him a new pair of slippers plus some white t-shirts that he could also use for school.

While picking out some clothes for the kid, the teens noticed that he was looking rather longingly at the toy another kid was holding at the store. They asked him what toy he wanted; when the kid said he wished for a ball, the teens readily got him one.

It was sweet to see young kids doing such a lovely act of kindness for another kid. Thirdy even promised the kid he would buy him a better ball once he gets to save more money from his allowance. What a sweet boy.
