Teachers expect their students to bring an excuse letter every time that they are absent from their classes; particularly if the absence is for more than a day or something that frequently happens. And while the parents are expected to provide their children with the excuse letter, there is this one mother who went viral for her ‘modern excuse letter’ because she actually made an ‘excuse video’!
Teacher Aei Balud got everyone smiling after he posted a mom’s ‘excuse video’ plus his response to the ‘modern excuse letter’, in the form of another video! LOL.
According to Teacher Aei, one of his students at Cavite National High School was absent due to flu. Instead of texting the teacher or writing an excuse letter, this student let mom handle the situation. This modern mom knew exactly what to do so the teacher will believe the student’s reason for being absent; she made a video.
“Good afternoon po, ma’am at sir. Pasensiya na po, hindi po makakapasok yung anak ko ngayon kasi po may trangkaso po. Baka po bukas na lang makapasok. Pasensiya na, ma’am, sir, nag-video na lang ako. Thank you po,” this mom said in the video.
Amused over his student’s very ‘modern excuse letter’, Teacher Aei would reply with a video as well.
“Ay sige po, mother. Ako po si Sir Aei, teacher po ni Amigo sa English. Yung mga na-miss niya pong activities at long test, gawin na lang po niya bukas pag pasok niya. Get well soon po kay Amigo,” Teacher Aei said as he replied to this concerned mother, before waving goodbye with a smile.
Impressed with this mother’s actions, Teacher Aei posted the two videos on his Facebook account.
“21st century learners means 21st century parents as well 😁 tapos na ang panahon ng excuse letters. Panahon na para sa #EXCUSEVIDEO
“Saludo muli ako kay mother na sa kabila ng kanyang busy sked na hindi makapunta sa paaralan upang ipaalam ang kanyang anak ay gumawa ng paraan. Madaling magdahilan, bihira man pero may ilang magulang na nagbibigay ng atensyon at panahon sa kanilang mga anak. Sana all. #heartofamom,” he wrote.
