Dedicated Boyfriend Becomes Bagger/Messenger, Call Center Agent to Send GF to College

He didn’t finish college. In fact, Ador Adrian Gabrieles was only 18 years old and jobless at the time he offered to send his girlfriend to school, but he managed to overcome the odds and support her – and she will be graduating this April!

Things were not easy for Ador and his girlfriend, Aira Arcamo. Throughout the time he was sending her to school, people mocked him and told him she was just using him to go to college but would leave him once she graduates. Yet Ador had faith that what they had was true love and he was willing to support her so they can both reach their dreams.

According to Ador, all these started the day they were both on a jeep heading for Marilao, Bulacan. When Aira received a message from her sister that they were enrolling in college but she wasn’t included at the time, she cried in the jeep. Ador took pity on her and promised to send her to school, even though at the time he didn’t even have a job.

Aira’s parents had jobs – her dad is an engineer and her mom is a teacher – but with three of them in college, it was too much for her parents to pay all at once. Ador promised to help, telling her she wouldn’t have to worry about her tuition fees.

So, Ador tried to find a job to support his girlfriend. He first became a bagger/messenger at Savemore but that only offered a small salary.

With the help of Aira who studies Bachelor of Arts in English Language, Ador learned English and would later be accepted as a call center agent. Today, he works at Convergys while sending Aira to school.

While a lot of netizens admired Ador’s dedication, there were many who laughed and said this story would soon reach Raffy Tulfo as they implied that Ador would seek help in getting everything he spent on Aira. Sigh.
