A homeless man who keeps copying lessons outside a classroom went viral for his drive to learn, but some netizens believe he suffered from depression and is actually mentally ill.
This man’s plight was shared by a teacher, Jun De Los Santos, who noticed that he often goes to that spot just outside the classroom to copy notes flashed on the TV screen or written on the board. The teacher admired the homeless man, praising him for trying his best to catch on school lessons even at his obviously advanced age.

“So ayun nga, habang nagkaklase, parang ramdam.kong may nakadungaw sa bintana. Good job kuya,” De Los Santos wrote as he shared the man’s photos.
But it turned out that this man was not really copying the lessons. Well, he acted like he was copying something on his notebook but when the teacher finally checked outside one day, he saw that the man’s notebook only had scribbles. Perhaps he also does not know how to write his ABCs?
“Ndi dw xa nag aaral sir kumukopya lang xa… matino nmn yan araw2 yan bumibili skin ng ballpen minsan nag tatanong p skin kung may pasok ng Monday,” netizen Marj Ladra Loyola wrote.

Other netizens agreed with Marj, saying that the homeless man was there to ‘copy’ perhaps out of habit but has been doing this for years because he is mentally ill.
“Ui rod kilala ko yan… Galing caloocan yan…
Netizens thank the teachers for not driving the homeless man away.
