School Conducts House-to-House Mobile Graduation Ceremony, Converts Truck to Stage

Graduation rites have been canceled in many places due to the restrictions in gatherings of a large number of people imposed as part of the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But many schools have found ways to still hold a graduation ceremony in a creative manner.

Cauayan East Central School in Cauayan, Isabela, conducts a special “mobile graduation ceremony” to still let the graduating class have a graduation but in a manner that does not involve a gathering of a large number of people.

Marvin Tuquib Alicaycay shares some of the photos taken during the mobile graduation ceremony that the school held at Barangay Villa Concepcion in Cauayan, Isabela.

In the photos, it is clear that the stage being used in the ceremony is actually a truck bed. The school staff just decorated the makeshift truck stage to make it appear like the real thing – and the effect is actually great! Depending on the angle you take the photos from, the pictures might even look like these were taken from the school stage.

In a follow up post, Alicaycay congratulated Cauayan East Central School Principal III Dr. Jaime Blas for the initiative and Brgy. Captain Sol Quijano for making this mobile graduation ceremony possible.

A lot of netizens were impressed by the school’s genius idea, commenting that it was great that the graduating students were still able to enjoy a close-to-real graduation experience. Their parents and some friends were still able to attend the event – and it’s made extra special by the school’s efforts to bring the graduation ceremony close to their homes, literally!
