She sells rags to earn extra money for school and to help her parents who are also rag sellers. And this girl hardworking young lady would soon go viral as netizens admired her determination to go to school despite the hardships she faces in life.
In a viral post shared on Facebook page All about the Philippines, a video of the young girl taken at a jeep earned admiration, with many netizens wishing her well. Many encouraged her to continue with her studies despite the difficulties she experiences because she has a better chance at having a better future if she finishes her studies.
In the post, the uploader narrated that they were stuck in traffic when a girl rode the jeep. She was wearing a school uniform but carrying a bundle of rags in her hand. It turned out that she doesn’t have money yet as she was not able to sell any rag.
SIYA: Manong! Mag kano po yung pamasahe hanggang libis po? (Mahinang pagkakasabi)
DRIVER: Otso
SIYA: Pwede po bang basahan nalang?
DRIVER: *Tumango *
Thankfully, the kind driver agreed to let her pay with the rag! Kudos, Manong Driver! But the other passengers who were listening to the conversation quickly offered to help.
MANONG: Ay sige ako na * sabay kuha ng pera sa bulsa*
SIYA: Ay, salamat po!
DRIVER: Ay sige wag na..
SIYA: Salamat po!!
MANONG: Magkano ba yang basahan?
SIYA: Sampo lang po.
MANONG: *Binigyan siya ng bente pesos*
SIYA: Wala po akong panukli
MANONG: Sige iha, sayo na yan wag mo na suklian
SIYA: Salamat po!
BABAE: Magkano yan ineng?
SIYA: sampo po.
BABAE: Oh! Ito *binigay ang bente* sayo nayan.
The video uploader was happy to witness these kind people helping this young girl out. The woman who gave her some money asked more about her and learned that she studies at Tala High School in Caloocan but also sells rags on the side to help augment the family’s meager income.

Eh yung iba nga saatin ay pa chill chill lang at sagana pero nagagawa paring mag cutting classes at yung iba pa diyan tinatamad pumasok.
