It’s official. Government employees, including teaching, teaching-related, and non-teaching personnel, will receive P10,000 worth of Service Recognition Incentive as stated on Administrative Order No. 19. Series of 2019. This has been confirmed by DepEd Spokesperson and Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla on her Facebook post earlier today, December 4, 2019.

In her post, Usec. Sevilla said,

DepEd will implement and process payment of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for qualified recipients (teaching, teaching-related and non-teaching personnel) not earlier than Dec 20, 2019, per Administrative Order No. 19, series of 2019.
How much will teachers receive?
DepEd is a National Government Agency (NGA) which falls under the Executive Department, and under AO No. 19, s. 2019, NGAs including SUCs, military and uniformed personnel, the amount shall be charged against the:
i. Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund under the FY 2019 General Appropriations Act to fund a portion of the SRI in the amount of Seven Thousand Pesos (P7,000) for each employee; and
ii. Available released PS allotments of the respective agencies for the remaining Three Thousand Pesos (P3,000) for each employee. In the event that the available released PS allotments are insufficient to fully cover the remaining Three Thousand Pesos (P3,000) per employee, a lower but uniform amount shall be paid to all qualified employees of that agency.
Conditions on the Grant of the SRI. The Grant of SRI shall be subject to the following conditions:
a. The Civilian personnel are occupying regular, contractual or casual positions:
b. The personnel are still in the government service as of November 30, 2019.
c. The personnel have rendered at least four (4) months of service as of November 30, 2019
d. Employees who have rendered less than four (4) months of service as November 30, 2019 shall be entitled to a pro-rated share of the SRI, as follows:

2 months but less than 3 months | 30% |
1 month but less than 2 months | 20% |
Less than 1 month | 10% |
and
e. The employees have not received any additional year-end benefit in FY 2019 over and above the benefit authorized under Republic Act (RA) No. 6686, as amended by RA No. 8441.
